Rotary Club of Fair Oaks • 2025 District Grant Project

What happens when passionate volunteers, a powerful partnership, and a whole lot of elbow grease come together? A healthier, more nourished community—one harvest at a time!

In 2025, the Rotary Club of Fair Oaks, working hand-in-hand with the Orangevale Fair Oaks Community Foundation, proudly completed a district grant project that is already transforming the Food Bank Farm. Thanks to this nearly $10,000 investment, we were able to purchase and install a brand-new Greenhouse Tunnel and a hardworking brush mower—two game-changing tools that are expanding the farm’s ability to grow fresh, healthy produce for families in need.

And here’s the best part…
This wasn’t just a check-writing project. It took over 200 hours of volunteer effort—hands in the dirt, sweat on brows, and smiles all around—to bring this vision to life. Rotarians and community members worked side by side, raising a structure that now stretches across the farm like a symbol of possibility. And the brush mower? Let’s just say it’s already earning its keep, taming overgrowth and creating more space to plant food that matters.

Today, seedlings are taking root inside the new greenhouse, and the increased growing capacity is already making a meaningful difference. More beds planted. More harvests ahead. More families supported.

This is what service looks like.
This is how we grow community.
This is Rotary in action. 🌾💛

Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, and partner who helped make this dream a reality. Together, we’re feeding hope—literally.
