The club's membership information, website, calendar, documents and more are all managed by a ClubRunner system we lease. Making sure the information in this system is accurate and up-to-date is something that requires each member's help, as well as volunteers who understand how to update the system. This workshop will focus on the website features of this system and while it is open to all club members, I intend it for members involved with the Public Image and Information Management Committee. Register now to receive the Zoom information for this workshop. ...Keith |

Jul. 28, 2024 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Please join us for a fun filled day in Morgan Hill on Sunday, July 28th. Victoria's cousin, Andy Mariani, offers tours and a fruit tasting at his orchard during the harvest season. The personal tour includes a history of the stone fruit industry in California and Andy will share his views of where this industry is heading in the future. During the tour, feel free to pick ripe fruit off the trees for purchase by weight afterwards. Then you get to enjoy dozens of fruit varietal tastings in the fruit sheds. The orchard features a variety of stone fruits including peaches and nectarines. Bring along a cooler to ensure your fresh fruit makes it home while they are still fresh and juicy. Andy's Orchard also has a Country Store where you can buy local fresh and dried fruit, local honey and many special treats from the Morgan Hill area. SEE LINKS BELOW.
Seniors are $22 per person, General Admission is $25, children 10 and under are free. FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE WELCOME! We highly recommend carpooling. Therefore, we will be meeting at 9:30am at a nearby location TBA to carpool to the Orchard where we will have special "family" parking. After the tour, we are going to a non-hosted lunch in downtown Morgan Hill. If there is enough interest, we may plan a wine tasting after lunch at Guglielmo Winery in Morgan Hill ($15 per person). We MUST have all RSVPs in to Maggie Hoy or Victoria Porter by Friday, July 19th, to save your tour spot and a seat for lunch and the winery tasting. PLEASE INCLUDE in your RSVP if you are interested in the wine tasting and/or staying overnight Saturday the night before or on Sunday. FYI, it is about a two and a half hour drive to Andy's from Fair Oaks.

Jul. 29, 2024 7:00 p.m.
Our speaker will be Garen Wintermute, M.D.. Dr. Wintermute is an emergency medicine physician at UC Davis Medical Center where he is the director of the Violence Prevention Research Program. Dr. Wintemute is one of a few public health experts researching gun violence in the United States—he has said that there are only a dozen researchers in the United States who study this subject, including him. In 1987, he published a study on accidental gun deaths among children in California. The study found that in about one-third of incidents, the shooter did not know the gun was loaded or real. |
