Sac Splash

Speaker: Mackenzie Wieser, CEO

A nonprofit organization that works with teachers and students to teach science related to our natural habitats using their water pollution prevention focused curricula. Knowledge in the classroom is applied to a field trip at the splash science center in Mather. Other outreach programs include a summer camp, investing in vernal pools, public tours and other extracurricular programs.

Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue/Norcal Golden Lovers Sac - Rescue organization and training of support dogs

The speaker will be Robin Gostovich, Director of Outreach for NorCal Golden Retriever Rescue, and Founder and Director of NorCal Golden Lovers Sac.  She will describe the work she does for the Rescue, and the passion she has for NorCal Golden Lovers Sac. While the Rescue works to save Golden Retrievers that have been abandoned or relinquished by owners who don’t want them anymore, NorCal Golden Lovers Sac is a network of Golden owners who share enthusiasm for their dogs, for creating friendships, and helping the community by collecting items of need for unhoused children and veterans.  

Come hear how all this gets accomplished and how Robin’s fervor for this commitment has built a large following in Fair Oaks, as well as social media.
